Here are the rest of the homework assignments for the semester.

By 11/16 you should have completed the following:

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, you've got two weeks to complete the remaining assignments, which should be done by 11/30. These are as follows.

4.8 Vocab Check and #5, 9, 15, 19, 21, 27

We will discuss these four sections in class on Friday 11/16. Then get right to work on it, since you'd rather know sooner than later that you need help.

There is an additional assignment in the syllabus, which I don't require but you might as well do: Review, pp. 364-6, #43, 57, 65, 85-91 all, 95-101 all, 103, 111-114 all, 123-127 all, 140.

So you can keep it for studying, this fourth batch of homework is due the day of the final exam, 12/14. It will be worth five points like the other assignments, and I'll give you 6 points for completely working out all the assigned problems in 4.5 through 5.2 plus the review exercises. As usual, you can also get extra points for neatness, so be neat. You're not just helping the person who has to read it; you're helping yourself, too!

We will review for Test 4 on 11/30, so there will be a practice test posted on this blog at least a couple days before that. You should print out the practice test and make yourself do it as if it were the real test, in order to find out where you need more practice. Then bring your copy of the practice test to class on 11/30.

Here is practice test 3. Print it out, and try to work the problems as if it were the real test (no book, no notes, no calculator). This will tell you where you need more practice. Then bring it to class on Friday.
